Ms Evlin is a Pacific Northwest native whose love for creative writing predates her years involved with marriage, children and employment in the lumber industry. She appreciates the power of the English language and enjoys tinkering with words, as you will discover when you read her books. Her list of favorite authors illustrates the type of literature she prefers to read, and endeavors to write. They are: Stephen R. Lawhead, Cary James and David Eddings in the fantasy genre; Daphne du Maurier, Mary Stewart and Phyllis Whitney in the “old” mystery genre; Mary Jane Clark, Robin Burcell and Chester D. Campbell in the “new” mystery genre; and Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling of “surprise endings” fame. She also enjoys contemporary sociological and political non-fiction. Not sure if she’s an optimistic pessimist or a pessimistic optimist, she strives to live up to her motto: Don’t ever get daunted.
